The VelociRAX 412 hitch-mounted vertical bike rack holds up to four bikes and has 30.5 cm (12-inch) spacing between tire baskets. This rack is ideal for small groups and can accommodate a range of bike builds, handlebar styles, and sizes. Load the VelociRAX 412 with your choice of bikes and let the rack do all the work so you can take bikes with you wherever you go. UV-tested rubber straps are included to quickly secure bikes in place while ONLY contacting the bike’s tires. A vertical hitch bike rack for four bikes is perfect for small families, spontaneous rides with friends, and road trips with a few other riders on board. If you are looking for a rack that is compact and can carry multiple bikes, look no further.

VelociRAX are patent pending with user-friendly features. There is no need to lift bikes onto this rack when using the roll-in and roll-out loading method, which means kids can load their bikes! Integrated hydraulic dampers assist fully loaded racks when lowering to the load position, so don’t worry about bikes crashing down when lowering this rack. All VelociRAX also come with a garage wall mount that can be used to store this rack with bikes when the rack is not on a vehicle.

- 86mm (3 3/8 inch) depth past center of hitch pin hole to insert a VelociRAX
- 50mm (2-inch) Class III  hitch with tongue capacity of 227 kg (500 lbs)

** Note - Check factory OEM hitch receivers on newer Subaru CrossTrek and Outback and Ford Ranger as they may lack sufficient depth on the factory hitch receiver.

-RVs/Trailers: need to have a Class III 2-inch hitch receiver with a tongue weight capacity of 500 lbs at a minimum (bumper hitches, extension hitches, and hitches with cantilevered sections allow too much hitch movement and are inadequate). One item to check is if a ladder could possibly interfere with the rack. Trailers and RVs produce extreme forces on racks and bikes. Take extra care to strap tight and use rubber bands (or bike tubes cut in ~1 inch sections) placed on the brake levers to decrease natural motion between bike and rack and fully secure the VelociRAX's built-in anti-rattle system.
- As with any vertical rack low clearance vehicles hauling long wheelbase bikes need to be careful, especially when backing up.

This is the best family rack for folks who need access to the back of their vehicle while traveli...

We bought this to take our bikes with us on camping trips. We are love the ease of use and durability. The color is also useful from a safety standpoint. It is easy to get the bikes on and off the rack.

It’s bulky and heavy

Very heavy and bulky but that’s the price you pay for a solid rack. I wish there were options for road or gravel hoops for the wheels. For the MTB it’s ok but it seems to put too much pressure on the rim itself for the skinnies.

Stable, secure 4 bike rack.

I have 4 bikes, one for each family member that I carry with a Honda Odyssey. The smallest is a 27" enduro bike and the largest is a XL 29" Santa Cruz Bronson (long wheel base). The reason I was in the market for a rack is because my current one, loaded up with 4 bikes, extended too far out the back of my minivan and bounced like a diving board. I researched the vertical bike racks on the market and came to the conclusion the Velocirax 4 bike rack would work best for my application. I am very happy with how stable it feels when fully loaded driving on expressways at speed. There is no bounce that modifies the drive of my van and flexing my hitch with the Velocirax. There's plenty of space to see out from my rear view mirror with the bike spacing. I'm also happy with the lock provided which secures the rack to the hitch. I am looking forward to many years heading to the trails all over the country with this rack.

As far as I’m concerned this is the only way I will carry my bikes from now on. Amazing rack, super easy to load/unload and the sturdiest rack I’ve ever put my bikes on. Also really easy to assemble and love the garage wall mount too. Would highly recommend to anyone who’s looking for a new rack.
